Silence has taken over

I float in an abyss of

fear and bruised hearts

I slept under a blanket

Of cold anger and

burning emotions

How did it start,

I don't even know

We were swimming

in loves water

Then you became

silent as the night

brewing a fresh pot

of ire and hurt feelings

What did I do?

Where did I falter?

Communication has failed

Your few words

drowned in a sea

Of cold silence

Your few words

tinged with barb wire

leaving scars I'm sure

I'm tired of wondering

so I will let myself fall back

under my comforter of

Hurt hearts and wait silently....
