Silence That Roars Poem by Asim Baadshah

Silence That Roars

In crowded rooms I hide my guile,
Laugh out loud, mask it a while,
Eyes that glitter, sharp yet wrong,
No one reads what I hide in song.

Roar outside, but deep inside,
There's a storm I choose to hide.
They taught me pain should never show,
So I bleed in silence, let no one know.

My veins run heavy, thick with night,
Each breath a war, not just a fight,
If I collapse, I won't depart -
I'll haunt the ruins of my own heart.

The mirror cracks, yet still I stand,
A fractured soul with a steady hand,
And if I burn, I'll play the part -
A wildfire caged inside a heart.
