Silent Wishes Poem by Joseph Caraveo

Silent Wishes

It’s like a goodbye that never made it to hello
Vacation cruise that just won’t float
I’m a dry rain that no one feels
The open wound that just won’t heal

Like a broken toy that no one buys
Left alone, an unclaimed prize
A stranger in a distant land
Will no one take my hand

It’s love alone that I seek
The kind of love, that makes me weak
Shooting stars and tender kisses
Full moon nights and silent wishes
