Simple And Quiet Love



Simple and quiet love -
This is what you gave me.
I can sit on your lap
On Christmas Day and Maying.

And I can hug and kiss -
And you won't try to push off.
You aren't like one of these
Men who leave after fusion.

Assuring and complete,
And evergreen like cedars
Is love that you gave me...
But can I leave my fears?
