Simply Adorned... Poem by Frances Kay

Simply Adorned...

Simple images behind words' form veiled

Unadorned, Soul's view on life

Separate stance of language barriers

Dressed up personal, struts own stage

Whilst complex language seeks to view

Display ~ convey prospective sought,

Sight of artist views to seek...

Convey ~ display perspectives pageant

Dimensions, language ... compound, fail though

Stressed ... complex format, image ... scales

In language, laboured ... layers structured

Height, breadth, depth ~ time, what's not seen

Causal acts out words of moment

Dress rehearsal ... glad rags made

Thus explicit, wielded concept ~ effects, implicit

Construct passage, word by message ~ image face

Hence by way of word ... by shadow

Soul's expressed through life's dark shroud

Brings to matter, all expressions

Threshold's dweller ... Presence meets

Wrapped in swaddling clothes re-membered

Confessions, guilt ~ form shall obey

'Till timed event ... Soul's life is pressed on

Horizon's black hole ~ all unknown, gained ... said

Word now image through flesh, fresh born

Creative faculties seen ... ad-dressed

Creates a mirror, stage reflected

Ends ... asunder ~ beginnings ... mend
