Sing Me Your Birdsong Poem by Dr. Charles A Stone

Sing Me Your Birdsong

teach me about kisses
baskets of dreams
blankets of clouds
chalkboards of trees

paint me a mountain
adorn it with stars
a rainbow of rivers
bouquets of flowers

lead me through shadows
to puddles of dawn
quilts of sunshine
showers of love

wish me a voyage
a necklace of hope
a cachet of memories
to brighten dark hours

sing me your birdsong
when i bid you farewell
a prayer everlasting
to call me back home
