Sip Whine Poem by Adam Thoms

Sip Whine

I can't take time from my life
To smell flowers and sip wine.
If I lost sight try as I might,
Life just might pass me by.

I've got a plan in my head
At least that's what I'm telling myself everynight what I go to bed
I might need to use my brain tomorrow I've got to clear my head.
And that's what I do.

I cannot break my pace or I'll lose my place.
Not to mention keeping a straight face.

Even if I stop for a second to catch my breath.
I'll be swept under the current with all the rest.
I just keep reminding myself of the plan
I'm only doing the best that I can.

I've got a big problem with a bigger reward
With keeping too much on the table keeping even more stored.

I can't take time from my life to sip wine.
If I lose sight life just might pass me by.
