I sit here
Wondering where
Everything has gone
I'm as wide awake
As I have ever been
But, yet everything has
Passed me by
Or has every word been
A lie

I swear I saw the truth
Maybe I only saw what
I needed to see
Only what I wanted

But, no my heart is burning
My soul is tired of searching
Eyes exhausted of looking around
The next corner
My mind is shuting down
Moment by moment
I am a little less
Each piece a little more dust
On the floor

But, even as I disappear
I endure what comes at me
Every problem
Every mistake
I take it on
And find it a place

I continue to stretch
More and more
Unsure if I'll ever stop
Snap
Under the pressure

My mind says yes
My heart says please
My soul says never
