Sizzling Rain Poem by Rashid Meras Pillai

Sizzling Rain

Rating: 5.0

Clouds appeared with a sweet chord,
And wind played a pleasing tune.
In the heavenly blue court,
Elegantly danced monsoon.
Countless, endless joy I attain;
Came down to earth, sizzling rain.

Far somewhere I heard,
Pleasant sound of a lark.
She glanced at me suddenly,
Oh! ! Her eyes so dark.
I looked too, I could not refrain;
Came down to earth, sizzling rain.

Oh! ! Undefined love,
What shall I call thee?
I have not fathomed thy depth,
But my heart is sinking in your sea.
Shall I call you joy, sorrow or pain?
Came down to earth, sizzling rain.

'Quench my thirst', I said,
With thy cherished wine.
Shower on me,
Thy drops, Oh! ! Divine.
I've waited for long, not in vain;
Came down to earth, sizzling rain.

You please me, you calm me,
Embrace me my love.
No heart is gloomy here,
As thy pour from above.
You bind me in an endless joyous chain;
Came down to earth, sizzling rain.
