Skined Knees Poem by chrissy arc

Skined Knees

Rating: 5.0

This little girl standing in front of me
Crying cause she’s got a skinned up little knee
I asked her what happen and she began with her plea
Mommy you see this is why this happened to me
I was climbing up the old oak tree
When suddenly I could not see
A great big bug took hold of me
I ran for my life I didn’t even think twice
But to my surprise
My shoelace came untied
And there was no place to hide
So I just took a dive
Still scared inside
I looked around to see if I was still alive.
And I screamed out I survived.
I picked up my little girl with tears in my eyes.
My emotions I could not hide.
Cant even began to explain to you all the reasons why
She is the apple of my eye
