Sky To Earth Poem by dana besarani

Sky To Earth

From the sky to the earth,
The Sky says:
You may be a few colors, or hidden dots seen,
You shrink many times, but you can never grow,
Because in one of my ripples, or my rain, I melt you away, and you perish.
I have heard you have trees, forests, and rivers,
But I will never believe that you will reach what is here.
It is true you have risen up [in pride/power] many times,
But you are still just Earth...
You are guests for only a few moments,
And your final moment is nothing but dryness and flatness.
Believe me, your mind is always set on the earth.
From the sky to the earth: This is not your place.

What are you trying to achieve?
So many times you attack with rockets and fiery comets,
You swallow millions, stealing the sustenance of my poor, pale people,
While I have never asked you for tribute.
You call yourself 'Science, ' bombing beauty,
Stealing the stars of God, the sun and moon, to keep for yourself.
You are a flash in the sky,
Yet you break into two pieces within my blink...
How is nature to you? You say, 'Let it go, my attack will not destroy me.'
I am the Sky, you are like Earth—stay in your place, diminish...
Be still...
