Slaughter Of The Innocents, The Poem by Brother Jonathan Gardner

Slaughter Of The Innocents, The

A voice is heard In Rama and abroad
Great weeping and wailing is heard.
For the actions of a few, have caused distress.

Rachel is crying for her children.
Killed. She cannot be comforted, she is beyond remorse.
Because they are no more.

Herod's ‘spirit’ lives on.
How long?
How long must we endure the slaughter of the innocents?
