Do I count sheep?
No! This is how I sleep!
In my bed, as I lie down,
in my head, I begin to frown
Thoughts of what I could be...
Wasted potential I start to see!
My heart on fire,
lost in desire...
I spiral in madness,
wishing only for sadness.
And sure enough, the sad is here,
with madness it shall interfere!
My imagination can play...
With your picture I sway
Reason starts to fail
When did I become so frail?
Because of you I cry,
But quickly, those tears run dry.
Slowly I lose my fear
I know the heights are near!
On a now happy face,
A smile has found its place
Curiosity starts to flow,
amazed by all I don`t know
Now I have a duty,
To uncover all the beauty!
And so, in a blink of an eye,
an eternity has gone by
A smile, a frown, and a tear
all of them I hold dear
Without their weights on my chest,
I can finally rest.
