Sleep Well My Love - Poem by Michael P. McParland
Goodnight my love and sleep well sweet one,
I give you a great big kiss and squeeze you
against me very tight to give you peace
and fill you with my warmth and love.
Then I slip into bed right beside my one.
I'll hold you close to me all night long
so you'll know you're not alone and
that I'm always there I'll never leave.
I will stick by my woman for eternity
you need have no worry forever it's you and me.
I'll pull you close and tell you it's alright
I love you deeply and one day soon you'll be my bride.
I love you truly my only one.
For now though I'll see you in the land of dreams,
where we'll go camping in the woods.
Looking at the stars as we hold each other,
sitting by the fire roasting marshmallows,
kissing and taking in natures beauty while
we grab our future holding on.
We'll hold each other camping
being by ourselves enjoying nature.
Goodnight and sleep well my love I'll
always be there with you my sweet Angel dove.
I miss you dearly but hold hope for our day to soon be here
where we'll rejoice with fulfillment and joy.
I love you Kira you're my best friend and the bond
we share is truly a special one.
I hope you'll soon give me your hand and join me where
we'll spend eternity with each other forever in the promised land.
