Sleeping Poem by Rachel L. Moore

Sleeping

I watch you sleeping.
And you are beautiful.
Your chest rising and falling,
Is simply mesmerizing…
Your active soul at rest
Captivates my heart,
Because I see you
And I know I love you.
You are not a marble perfection,
But you are still my white knight.
My heart hammers
With passion all for you,
Because every day,
You save me from myself
And my innate melancholy.
I watch you sleeping
And my heart and soul smile.
You may not dream of me,
But I see you content,
And am content to see you dream.
I watch you sleeping,
And can never love you more.
