Sleepless In Moonlight Poem by Asma Khan

Sleepless In Moonlight

It doesn't hurt if I don't find you around
you're gone while the sun was going down

I defined all ends to reach you
but each time the pain you gave was new

How much I missed myself I know
if mirrors can speak, I could show

Throw away this spell from me now
cheer yourself and say again your vow

Found me not broken, surprised?
don't cross my path, you're advised

I even disguised death for you many times
but you're not worth a single dime

Past has been a good teacher
for it disclosed your hidden feature

I wouldn't question you for this
for your departure to me was a total bliss

Bury your gaze in your past
remember your words, 'nothing forever last! '

Walk your shadow alone in this moonlight
for now, you got everything but delight
