Slip Me A 'Markie' Poem by Jennifer Parks

Slip Me A 'Markie'

As I inhale your exhalations, I become intoxicated.
Shivering breaths of passion, thoroughly marinated,
Alter my perception, make the world seem unreal.
Whispered words of intimacy bring us closer still.
The truth that is you cuts through my illusion.
Driving me on to a climactic conclusion.
Then, I watch you sleep in the glowing blue light.
Until exhaustion claims even me for the night.
