Slipped Shot Poem by Jared Bradford

Slipped Shot

Rating: 5.0

If you had one more chance
To achieve what you always wanted
To capture all your dreams in one shot
Would you do it?
Would you shoot?
Or just get shot down..

The chance was there
It was for real
When I missed it
It was so surreal

No more, it's gone now
Never another crack at it
I want it back
Call me a 'chance addict'

Keep telling myself
'Hey it's gone now'
It's time to move on now
'But where to now? '

Staying optimistic
Almost unrealistic
It comes and goes, visits
When it goes I miss it

Do I want my chance back?
Hell yeah
I just wonder what it will take
To get my shell back

Not that I'm slow
I'm just confused when to go
So I always get run over
Like grass under a lawn mower

Should I go or stay?
How do I move forward?
Chances are a bitch
But I'd die for her

The first few lines sound like Eminem's 'Lose Yourself'
