Slipping Away Poem by Pierre Pabstel

Slipping Away

Looking over your shoulder
You walk quickly away
You know someone is following
And that you might die today

You walk in an alley
To shorten your way
In the same moment
You shorten your day

We appear from the dark
And steal your soul away
And as you die at our feet
You feel yourself slipping away
