Smartphone Poem by wander angel

Smartphone

Someone tries to control us.

Someone tries to control us

By the small  objects

- - smartphones.

In the bedroom, in the bathroom, in the classroom, in the restaurants.

While making dinner, while eating, after love making, before close

the eyes to sleep..

We carry  smartphones with us everywhere.

We can't detach ourselves from it.

The piece of plastics locked in our hands like the handcuffs.

Our lives belong to it.

Meaning of vacation was changed.

No times to relax any more.

The electronic devices call us many times a day.

We bow our heads to it,

Read their commands in digital glass.

- -facebook notification, email reminders, social media accounts

and all the apps.

As if it is  important to our lives over anything else.

No one can concentrate on work.

We lack mindfulness and lose attention of the present moment.

Someone tries to control us.

Someone tries to control us.

We are in the world of insecurity.

We feel more stress, more anxious with the digital world.

Smartphones steal our times.

Smartphones steal our lives.

It's so sad, we couldn't be without the phones.
