Smile For Me

Once blind to life of love’s rich fair
Beyond the day we die
Embrace me Father, show You care
And smile whilst here I cry

You’ve caused this child to look within
See darkness face to face
You’ve shown the path of wanton sin
Will only lead from grace

You raised me from the common dust
You gave me Heaven’s Light
Flooding my heart with faith and trust
Dressing my soul in white

Now I can hear now I can see
Beyond the great unknown
I’m blessed my God I’m rich and free
Without that heart of stone

You bore my shame my aching pain
My burdens and my fears
Now safe I’m sound I’m born again
With misted eyes full tears

Because of joy because of grace
Because of who You are
Because one day I’ll see the face
Of Christ The Morning Star

I’ll feel His love His welcome kiss
The holes within each hand
The warming glow of Heaven’s bliss
Within The Promised Land

In gratitude I raise my voice
In praise my song I sing
Let Heaven smile angels rejoice
In presence of our King
