Smudge Jess Sooty Poem by Richard Sockett

Smudge Jess Sooty

Soft and furry, you are such a beautiful cat
Much loved in your tortoiseshell coat and hat
Under the bed curled up in a ball
Dreaming of parading down the runway walking tall
Gracefully padding all around the house
Eagle eyed and ready to pounce on some unsuspecting mouse

Jovial and feisty smartly dressed in black and white
Escape attempts a plenty you think its your God given rite
Seeking many a suitor you are a wonderful mum
Snuggled up tight sleeping soundly heart beating like a drum

Slender and toned in a coat of jet black
Our special puss stretched out lying on your back
Opening the cat food you all run and cry for more
Three lovely cats melt my heart to the core
You've got to love a cat, I have finished my poem, so that's that
