Snare Or No Snare

With tempting wily lustful charms
Are Satan’s traps ensnared
Till safety of God’s saving arms
Seems hopelessly impaired

But is this not the devil’s aim?
Is this not Satan’s pride?
Evoking doubt on Jesus’ name
And whom we have inside

Is this not too the devil’s boast
On those The Blood set free
Blaspheming Jesus’ Holy Ghost
We’d fail the truth to see

Greater is He that dwells inside
Than Satan and his brood
The power of Jesus’ chosen bride
No devil can elude

He failed to kill Salvation’s Seed
So now the bride he tries
Yet day and night he would impede
If were she not so wise

But wise we are through Christ our Lord
Through faith in God on high
With helmet, belt and trusted sword
We’ll stand in Christ or die

Weather we die weather we live
On God we can depend
If yet our lives we need to give
We die to Christ our friend

We’d die because of unseen hope
Because of faith received
Because we know our God will cope
Because we have believed
