Solemn Hour Poem by Dashaun Rashod Snipes

Solemn Hour

Rating: 5.0

In the hush of the solemn hour,
When the world is still and calm,
My heart beats with a gentle power,
As I'm lost in a peaceful psalm.
The moon, a glowing silver orb,
Casts its light upon the land,
And all around, in sweet accord,
Nature rests in God's command.
The stars, like diamonds in the sky,
Twinkle in serene delight,
As time slows down, and moments fly,
In this tranquil, sacred night.
The city streets, once bustling loud,
Now quiet in a peaceful sleep,
And in this moment, I'm endowed,
With a sense of solace deep.
In the solemn hour, I am still,
As I ponder life's mysteries,
And let my heart and soul refill,
With hope and all its mysteries.
I think of friends, both far and near,
And all their joys and sorrows,
And in this hour, I shed a tear,
For all their bright tomorrows.
But as the night begins to fade,
And the sun begins to rise,
I know that I must face the day,
With all its struggles and its ties.
But in this hour, I find my peace,
And in my heart, it will stay,
Until the world's noise starts to increase,
And I'll await the next solemn day.
So here's to the solemn hour,
A time of calm and grace,
In which my heart finds its own power,
To stand in this chaotic race.
