In the dusk hush, where shadows play,
I find solace, away from life's disarray.
Not by choice, but necessity's sway,
I keep to myself, lest distractions slay.
Like Elijah's cave, I seek refuge deep
From social media's noise, my soul to keep.
Not that I scorn the gifts I hold within,
But like a garden, talent needs quiet to win.
The world's fumigation chokes my growth,
Like Sodom's ashes, beauty lost to sloth
Don't blame me, dear friend, for this retreat,
For in darkness, my heart finds its beat.
I'm not a foe to joy, nor a sadist's creed,
But in shadows, wisdom's seeds take root and feed.
When called upon, I'll be your guiding light,
A friend in need, through life's plodding night.
Like the cave where Muhammad sought peace
I find my calm, my heart's release.
Not antisocial, but a seeker true,
Of depths within, where love shines through.
