Solitutde Poem by H.E Warfield

Solitutde

Dancing and twirling like the leaves in autumn,
The wind carries me.
Running fast, one with the current,
Like water I will slip through your fingers.
Flapping my wings with urgency,
Like a hummingbird you will not see me.
Indulging in variety seeking multiple habitats,
Like a vagrant shrew I migrate alone you won’t be near me.
Climbing the highest tree with patient discontent,
Like a great vine I am silent and you won’t hear me.
Wondering off to die in a place never to be found by another,
Like a cat it overwhelms me with relief, you won’t be there when I cease.
