Someone Somewhere

We feel so safe when young and strong
As children walking blind
Content singing the devil’s song
With foolishness in mind

Quite innocent we thought at first
Till guilt will intervene
And then the heart begins to thirst
For something yet unseen

We’ve only heard that someone’s there
Somewhat we can’t explain
Somehow somewhere must someone share
Something to ease the pain

We wonder how we question why
Creation came to be
No answers truly satisfy
Until we bend the knee

At first we find it strangely odd
Somewhat ashamed we pray
Persistently though we find God
Will open up a way

The Truth was here all the time
The facts of life to see
Not from a bang not ooze or slime
But by The Lord’s decree

From east to west from north to south
The Heavens sky and earth
The order came from Jesus’ mouth
Before incarnate birth

No searching child will search in vain
For such is God’s delight
Someone somewhere Christ will explain
Bestowing thus! True sight…………….
