SOMETHING I LOOK AT-328
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY
Tell me
how to carry me
when I do not see you around
when you remain behind the curtain for days and hours
leaving me to grope in darkness
Many things come to mind,
darkness surrounds me and
I grasp for air, look here and there to have a glimpse of yours to reassure myself
everything is nice and fine
Tell me where I erred.
Is it a tall demand if I seek your well-being,
to know about you
who have become my heart and soul
You have become my lifeline
Tell me how to comfort myself and get going when I am not sure about my life.
I am somewhere, my life is somewhere,
only a feeling, a sense of belonging keep the body and soul going
My years may not be many.
I need nothing, but to sense your happiness and well-being,
feel it deep inside till I am alive.
If I am wrong, tell me,
I will wither away silently
