SOMETHING I LOOK AT-379
BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY

(Attempted acrostic on my beloved teacher, Jagabandhu Dash, Alanahat High School.

Jagabandhu Dash, the son of Shyama Charan Dash and Durga Devi Dash was born in Bhatapara on 28.9.1930 and left for his heavenly abode on 22.6.2016. Married to Baurimani Dash.Teacher, Alanahat High School. Joined in 1954 and retired in September 1988.Educated at Christ College, Cuttack. Has a master's degree in arts and B.ED. Taught Odia, Mathematics, and English. Excelled in Odia literature. He was a simple man with a big heart, a loving and committed teacher. Unless one has seen him, he cannot believe
such a noble man with a
golden heart has ever walked on earth.)

JAGABANDHU DASH

Justice he taught, with wisdom and care,

A noble soul, beyond compare.

Guiding young minds with love and grace,

Alanahat High School was his cherished place.

Born in Bhatapara, where dreams took flight,

Aspiring to spread knowledge, his lifelong light.

Nurturing hearts, in Odia, Maths, and lore,

Devoted to students, his efforts soared.

His wife, Baurimani, his steadfast guide,

Under her warmth, he thrived with pride.

Degrees from Christ College, where wisdom grew,

A master in arts and a teacher, true.

Shyama Charan and Durga Devi's delight,

His golden heart still shines so bright.
