Sometimes - Poem by Joy Powell

in the darkness..I sense you near
when I am afraid.....
or perhaps a habit
knowing you would be
if I was...
so far you are from me
I feel lost..
I cling to your pillow...
your scent long gone
loving you the only way
I can...
realizing how big the world
is now that you are no longer
in it...
If only to have you hold me
in your arms
just once more...
I would savor it for eternity...
