Somewhere In Gaza Poem by Mary Champion

Somewhere In Gaza

Christmas 2024

Inside a bomb crater,
no roof and no bed,
scared starving children
lay down their tired heads.

The powerful nations
look on in despair.
They can't act together.
It's like they don't care.

The cattle are slaughtered,
the water's run dry.
Mohammed and Jesus
should ask themselves, why.

And Moses who told them
that killing's a crime,
was wasting his breath
not to mention his time.

You screwed up Lord Jesus,
there's no peace in sight.
We can't live together,
we'd much rather fight.

God help the dear children
this bloody Noel.
If not, they'll keep dying
or living in Hell.
