Sonnet 9 Poem by Alex Fischer

Sonnet 9

Rating: 4.5

Deep in the mines there is a precious jewel
I dig and dig and fin’lly have it such
I hold it close rev’lling in its new rule
I love this jewel so much I hadn’t touch
With sparkling shine it ‘mindth me of Heav’n
It takes me ‘way to a new phase of life
As I look on this jewel I’m filled with leaven
I take it out of me with a sharp knife
Stealing my gaze this jewel shines so sweet bright
I am amazed by this jewel so is mine
It gives me life and makes me so delight
I’ll keep this jewel till the true end of time
This precious jewel is perfect unsurpassed
Now with this jewel much I have amassed
