Sonnet A6: That Little Blue-Jay Poem by Caleb Kanayo

Sonnet A6: That Little Blue-Jay

My little angel rests in his crib
My ray of sunshine in the darkness he is
While I wipe the food off his dib
Squawk! ! ! A little bluehead peeks

My breast to him I fed
And his hair I oiled and frayed
But that bird never left his bed
Through rain and shine; he stayed

The bird sang a chirpy song
When he glowed with gay
And squawked all day long
When he didn't have his way

A troubled peace; my heart felt each day
When it came and sang. Oh, that little blue jay.
