Sorrow Poem by Nkwachukwu Ogbuagu

Sorrow

The webs are obstinate
And refuse a hug of the
Broomsticks, besmirched
By diluted coal tar.
Grey walls fascinate dancing
Grimes before your pupils
Dilating even at daytime
To screen the woes on such
Walls painted by dilemmas
That pruned the vestiges of
A bleeding heart.
Broken gourds yield wasted
Fluid, coloured by saps of
Bitten raffias, booed by
Loquacious forests cursed by
Protesting squirrels.
The maze of a widening life
Resorts to cohesion through
Crossroads on a declivity
So hated by sweats of
Killing heat.
