Sorry Poem by Ritik Kumar

Sorry

Rating: 3.5

I held it hard,
but didn't get the whole.
My heart is untamed
as I felt myself fall.

The bonds which we shared
made a ring of the world.
All the days of joie are history,
which we plucked, distinctly, like pearls.

I never wondered, even in my
wildest dreams, that I'd be so harsh.
For I had sworn before you
that I'll never be too far.

I could never be the same
after what I did, like a blind.
The feeling which kept me alive,
leave it all behind.

My heart kept on breaking
and I didn't know what to do.
Now, days are all under a dark cloud,
And my appels are not tearing it through.

Time has betrayed me and us
for we have been so happily.
But God intended a twist of fate,
and we walked away, slowly.

Since the day, I struggled to breathe,
to find myself in the dark mist.
I couldn't cope with the world,
nor could I live like I did.

All the days have been like living in hell.
The me within me, begged for one chance.
But my exterior was scared to see, that
we had walked away too long on different lanes.

But then I thought that for how long
Will I keep it in, and bear the pain?
I have to get rid of those haunting dreams,
'Cause it's driving me insane!

So I left the 'ego' way behind
And walked upto you.
'Cause I know that you want me to stay
And walk, fall, climb and jump with you.

So I'm here now to utter a word
Which would scream out my lungs, truly.
With the hope that you'll hold me hard now
I say to you - 'Sorry'.
