Sous Rature Poem by Andrew Zawacki

Sous Rature

GLASSSCAPE
Signal glitch is a cut flower
ghost, aghast
in the digital cable:
Zildjian copper
dapple on the valley
flashing's ½" crimp,
concussions of thunder,
ninjutsu rain,
the terrapin road a rutted
tain & down-shifting
into the glare, as if staring
at someone's obsidian
eyes to figure out who
filmed her: moiré
of birch at one edge
of the pasture, canary grass
swaying alarm,
while a Lazar-
us us is us
-hered by the afternoon to
rise, receive the storm
