Spats Poem by Sam Fischer

Spats

Are responses all we are?
I really think thats the case,
Believing that I now know,
That on my reactions I can base,
I saw you today walking to work,
Honestly I felt nothing,
It actually felt good not to yearn,
Having knocked out of me the stuffing,

I think now maybe I'm over you,
Past caring what you think,
And not needing to know where you are,
Or being driven to the brink,
Its nothing really, an emptiness,
This feels so sweet and free,
I'll honestly not need to hear from you,
Ever again, its so neat,

So goodbye now you lonely person,
You drive them all away,
I hope you can get better with time,
And for you I certainly will pray,
Because getting fitter isn't getting better,
But you really don't realise that,
And every relationship you end up in,
Will dissolve to bitter spats.
