Special Heart - Poem by Hannah Rippon

The loom and gloom of the world today
Cuts my heart, what can I say
For all the pain we have to bare
Always struggling, never fair

Where is happiness, has it gone?
For I swear I don't feel it
There is much that is wrong

No smile to break that frown upon my face
Empty, dull and lacking grace

For I need to hope and believe it true
That i can be just as special too
If only the rest could only see
That special heart inside of me
