Spirit Birth’s Spirit

The sinful heart is like a stone –Eze.11: 19
So calloused cold and dense
It’s evil fruit birth’s death alone –Ro.7: 5
With dust as recompense

Within the heart is nothing good –Ecc.9: 3
Since God and man’s divide –Gen.3: 24
It fails to live the way it should
Without The Truth inside –Isa.59: 15

Yet Spirit gives to spirit birth –Jn.3: 6
Where Jesus plants His Seed –Gal.3: 16
Where none’s condemned beneath the earth –Jn.11: 25-26
To rot as worthless weed

Salvation brings us life anew
When self we’ve come to kill
But spirits need attention too
And seek of truth their fill –Jn.6: 39

Man’s wayward flesh will always strive
Walk blind the road to hell –Ro.13: 14
The spirit though will surely thrive
That drinks Salvation’s Well –Isa.12: 3

When flesh denies it’s selfish choice –1Pe.2: 24
When deaf to Satan’s song –Eph.2: 3
When heeding but to Jesus’ voice –Jn.10: 3-5
We’ll join The Master’s throng

As sure as truth wears no disguise
Yet cuts just like a sword –Heb.4: 12
Good and evil will both arise –Gen.7: 22
To reap their just reward

Bear witness now to God’s decree
No flesh can rise on high –1Co.15: 50
So man today must bow the knee
And will all self to die…
