Spreading The Cure Poem by Ryan Lee Morris

Spreading The Cure

My lack of patience,
Caused another's unkindness.
I am impatient.
I am not love.
My unkindness,
From another's impatience.
I am unkind.
I am not love.
I want what you have.
I am jealous.
I am not love.
I brag about what you do not have.
I am rude and boastful.
I am not love.
I must have my own way.
I am demanding.
I am not love.
I am bothered by your mistakes.
I am irritable.
I am not love.
My resentments keep record.
I am resentful.
I am not love.
Others have wronged me, as a result, I have wronged them.
I rejoice in the injustice.
I am revenge.
I am not love.
I am what I am, and not, what I am not.
I so desperately seek, what I am not.
It's not about give and take.
It is about give and give.
Taking is stealing.
Am I a thief of hearts?
It is about accepting what is shared.
Mercy and grace for those that have not.
They have the sickness.
I hold the cure.
No more ill will.
Just to love well.
That is how we spread the cure.
