Springtime Meditation Poem by Max McGovern

Springtime Meditation

Meditation.
In sporadic conflict,
The dragon and butter-
flies dogfight.
Inaudible flights,
Competing only with the mechanical
Commotion from construction.
But slowly, imperceptibly, the pesky,
mechanized drone synthesizes
with the hypnotic triple hoot of the dusk-owl,
Protestations of the mockingbird,
And lusty shrill of the locust,
Into the single easy flow,
I’ve been waiting lifetimes to find.
