Stained Circus Poem by Antony Glaser

Stained Circus

lilly stained hands
watch the last array of hope
The Cathedral stained windows
plays organ
The windy streets chant like
the tunes of saints
the world myriad
My island world alone
bidding on a carousel
that plays my only tune
the circus never left town
