I claimed you—
as Judaism and Christianity claimed Abraham.
I called you in the darkness—
there was no response.
You're not God.
Something loves me
while I'm doing something I love.
It brought the best of me—
never seen the less of me.
On the threshold of memory,
a heart was empty as Moses' mother,
standing by the river.
What has been lost won't be lost forever.
And when love comes, you'll see—
what I longed for has come for me.
Standing by the river,
this time quenched, not thirsty.
Miraculously.
