Starlight Poem by David Pettus

Starlight

A falling star
To live in earthly life
In distant dusk
The hazel sparking purple flight
Ignited eye
Light up the space
Of smooth tones swiftly soaring in souls sky
In peace of nature thought
Reflex on memories to relax the mind
Set fire to liquid fury
In motion of oceans tranquil tides
Inhale vibration past imagination lines
The vocals,
My violins,
Stringing hymns of symphony
To sing this song
A heart within
Of dreams to travel through the searching night
For you would roam
In drifting sleep
In silence for the waking eyes delight
To draw the first of breath
Outside the realm of cosmic sight
A part of you
The essence to still the moon
Now wanders through nightly grass to brush the path
As bloom would light your way
As your luminous aura enlightened the darkest night
Now the worry minds not hath
Not long ago
Was this remembrance to only slowly fade away
When eye to eye
The spirit of your presence would let it go
Shinning away to thin
To disappear into the nightly sky again
