Stars Keeping Eyes Open The Whole Night Poem by Hytower Wang

Stars Keeping Eyes Open The Whole Night

Stars Keeping Eyes Open the Whole Night
-for one who was kept company by pain in the hospital
Hytower 201

The nose has got used to the medicinal odor
Boasting that he himself was no other than an acupuncture needle
The pain practiced medicine as a quack
The thoughts bloomed into thousands of flowers
in a mess
Allowing only
Some tasteless dreams which avoided sweetness and saltiness
To stuff into the sick pillow
The bare foot of a small lamp walked on tiptoe to the edge of bed
The eyes and the ceiling gazed at each other
Above the roof, in the morning sky
There were supposed to be stars
Who, between dozes
Put a few doses of prayers
And said goodbye several times without any movement
Keeping eyes open the whole night
