Sticky Wicky Poem by Amy J Richardson

Sticky Wicky

I've sat upon the some sticky tape
It's sticking to my bum
Sticky wicky sticky tape
It's now stuck to my thumb
Ticky tacky sticky tape
Sticks to nought at all,
Except its quicky sticky self
Scrunched into a ball
Tacky tocky sticky ball
Just gets in the way
Flicky flocky sticky tape
Throw the ball away
But little stickity wick
Is proving hard to catch
I finally toss it in the bin
It's time I start from scratch

A slip of smooth, fresh tape,
All sleek, and shiny new,
To wrap a book of poetry,
A gift from me to you.
