Still Life-Woods, Mold, Skulls Poem by Henrique Ankerkrone Caldas

Still Life-Woods, Mold, Skulls

-Woods
Drafts piercing stiff wood
In a gale of falling change
Young trees come to bear

-Mold
The worms and the mold
Lie amid the scorned ones—all
Decaying leaves, lost

-Skulls
Quelled skulls do not speak
Scattered around barren floors.
Their Memories, last...
