Still Waiting Poem by angela coon

Still Waiting

I sit here and wait,
I wait for you to come home.
Dont you miss me?
I miss you.
Im always wondering why you hate me,
Is it because you didnt want me?
I need you in my life,
Did you know you used to be my hero?
You did untill everything changed.
I grew up and you let me go to fast.
Im always going to need you no matter how old i get,
Your my daddy and i love you.
And yet im Still waiting for you to come home.
Cant you realize how much you need me to?
I'd do anything to make you love me again.
i'd circle the world and back to get my father back.
Remeber when you taught me how to swing,
Kick, push, kick, push.
I did it,
But with your help.
I feel like you dont love or want me anymore.
When are you comin home?
Because daddy,
i will still be waiting
