Please help me
understand
how to walk,
how to talk,
how to play,
how to laugh.
Help me, please,
just help me to
understand, I
just don't know,
I just can't.
Help, I am
only a child in
your grand presence.
I say this only because
you're older than me,
but not smarter,
not nicer,
not more caring.
Please, stop
attempting to
control my life
because I can
think and know
and walk and talk
all by myself.
