Storms Poem by Garreth Eyssen

Storms

We are faced with storms
Are driven down from the top of our mountains
We can’t predict where the wind will blow
We can’t change the flow of the ocean either

What we can do is accept, adapt and overcome
No matter where the wind blows
How the ocean flows
How far you pushed down
How strong the storm is

We will overcome it
We are stronger than the storm
Tough enough to block the wind
Wise enough to sail the ocean
Fit enough to climb back up

Remember you won’t be put in a situation that you are not greater than
The trick is to figure a way out
And when you do you will be even greater

It’s when you do not wish to find that exit
That you may fall further
And giving up is not an option
It’s not a even a thought

Because if you do then you have defeated the purpose...
